Annual ACRES Conference

Registration is now open! 

ACRES is known for being a warm and welcoming conference, especially for first time presenters, practitioners, and students. We offer multiple session types, as well as plenty of opportunities to make connections through shared meals (breakfast and lunch), receptions, and other social events that are all included in the registration fee.

Conference Registration and Payment

Although we encourage all interested parties to consider joining our organization, membership is not required to be a presenter or a non-presenting attendee. We include reduced rates for student members and non-members, and encourage faculty members to support graduate students in attending this outstanding conference for research dissemination, professional development, and networking opportunities. 

Account information: To receive the discounted conference rate, you must be logged in as an ACRES member. Nonmembers will be given the option to create a free account when they register.

Presenters who wish to be included in the conference program MUST register and pay for the conference by March 1.

Registration Fees for members and non-members

Conference registration includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and hors d'oeuvres at social events on Thursday and Friday for all attendees.

Verification of full-time student status is required for student registration. Students must send an e-mail to acres-sped@mail.wvu.edu with a letter signed by their academic advisor stating that s/he is currently a full-time student at their institution and not also employed as a teacher, administrator, or faculty member at that institution.

Vendors and Exhibitors

Per person: $675 (pre-registration), $725 (regular registration).

Fees include:

  • Registration to the ACRES Conference (meals included)
  • Exhibit table during ACRES Conference (venues may charge additional fees for electricity, shipping, and other special requests). 
  • Option to have a session during the ACRES Conference
  • Logo in Conference Program


The Conference Planning Committee must approve all Vendors/Exhibitors. If requesting to present at the conference, a conference session proposal must be sent to Kim Floyd by Nov. 15th for consideration by the Conference Programming Committee for inclusion in the conference. The proposal must include:

  • Title
  • Abstract
  • Learner Outcomes/Session Objectives

To receive the discounted conference rate, you must be logged in as an ACRES member. Select "register for an event" under the "I want to..." dropdown menu.  Nonmembers may create a free account to manage registration information (e.g., print receipts, etc).

NOTE: A $25 service charge will be assessed on all denied credit card payments or returned checks.

To cancel your registration

Individuals who need to cancel their registration should notify ACRES as soon as possible by e-mailing acres-sped@mail.wvu.edu. ACRES may refund conference fees (minus a 30% processing fee) only on written request that is received no later than three weeks before the conference date.
